Tom Konkle Joins Safe Harbor FilmsSafe Harbor Films, LLC, recently announced a new addition to its family — Tom Konkle has accepted a position as Showrunner and Producer. Konkle's responsibilities will include participation in protecting the creative voice and vision of Safe Harbor Films; participating in business and financial matters; and contributing his talents in front of and behind the camera. “We're very excited to have Tom join the Safe Harbor Films family,” said President Tony A. Angelo. “He has extensive experience in the entertainment industry, including acting, directing, and a wide variety of behind-the-scenes disciplines ranging from coordinating studio work to final editing. Tom's expertise will help us continue along our path to realize the vision of Safe Harbor Films.” Konkle is from Fairfax, Virginia, currently living in California. He began his career as a comic actor and writer, leading to his appearance on The Art of Football comedy show, where he went toe-to-toe with John Cleese. As an actor, he has since expanded his range to include sarcastic heroes and diabolical villains. In addition to acting, he is a director, author, studio staff writer, and producer. He directed Trouble Is My Business and The Longest Knife. Konkle has written episodes of the Warner Bros series, Be Cool, Scooby Doo, as well as writing and producing 19 screenplays for television, short films, and industrial films. He has made guest-star appearances on television, including The Office, Community, and Arrested Development. The remaining Monty Python members asked him to direct and perform in their never-before-seen sketches in the live show, Owl-Stretching Time.
